Hardwood Floor Installation

Hardwood floors installed by Fabulous Floors provide class and beauty in any room, whether in your home or a business location.

Fabulous Floors utilizes 3 common installation methods:

1. Floated - used with laminates or engineered flooring
2. Glued - used with laminates or engineered flooring
3. Nailed/Stapled - used with engineered or solid flooring

Step 1:
We begin with a room that has had the original flooring stripped down to the bare subfloor.

Step 2:
15 lb. felt paper is used to cover the entire subfloor. This will act as a moisture barrier and extra layer of protection.

Step 3:
Our reference lines are laid out.

Step 4:
The location of the first board is then carefully determined so it will be perfectly parallel to the reference lines made earlier. Each additional board is laid based on the position of the first board.

Step 5:
We use a common staple gun to install each plank of the floor.

Step 6:
There is a sequence that is repeated for each plank. It starts with placing the tongue end of the board into the grooved end of the previous piece.

Step 7:
The stapling process begins and continues until the floor is complete.
